the Duchessa Mountains, with its lake by the same name,
and the Zompo lo Schioppo Nature Reserve, with
the highest waterfall of the Apennine Mountains, offer countless
nature itineraries for those wishing to get back in touch with
nature through walks among unspoiled mountains and valleys,
and numerous routes for hikers and lovers of trekking and mountain
bikes. The structure is an excellent starting point for visits
to the beautiful villages of Marsica, such as Tagliacozzo,
Celano with its imposing castle, and the Alba
Fucens archeological site. During the winter season, the Ovindoli
and Campo Felice ski trails are only 25 minutes away. Additionally,
given Casale Frezzini’s proximity to the A24 and A25 motorway
exits, visitors can easily plan longer journeys in order to
discover the characteristic hamlets and Parks of Abruzzo |
